Technicolor Cheese Wedge. I played this game a couple years ago, and remembered it being pretty decent. Alas, on my second time through, this is definitely not the case. The plot is okay (boy creates a crappy MZX game, and his computer explodes, opening a gate from which thousands of built-ins escape and wreak havoc), but the game itself is riddled with mediocre graphics, a tedious RPG battle engine, and long waits between lines of dialogue in the demo's three cutscenes. Plus, the lone boss is (apparently intentionally) almost impossible to defeat unless you use the game's built-in cheat code. To top it all off, this demo doesn't work properly in any version of MZX from 2.80 onward. Fortunately, you're not missing much.
