Well, he's right about one thing, Symantec sucks.

Partition Magic Pro: The Game sucks too though! There's some nice drawings of bits of computer hardware, but this thing is really short and has bugs that make it impossible to complete.

Because of a change in the way counters are handled, the on-board antivirus (screenshot 3) is impassable. The number at the bottom will just keep increasing until it's in the billions. You'll have to play through the editor and delete the robot for it to complete the game.

The inside of the hard disk (screenshot 4) is really bad. That cloud of tiles in the upper right seems impassable but there is a hidden path through it. The cloud is actually lava, which blends in with the board half of the time. I can say that the hidden path is found at the top of the cloud, trial and error is necessary to get past it. Basically, save the game during each step you don't die.

Then, the boards aren't linked properly. If you forget a fragment before moving to the next board, you're screwed. You'll have to exit and restart the game. Not that it matters, the only thing that happens after this part is you're told about the sequel.

Interestingly, the BIOS battery in the game resembles a 3.6V 1/2AA. I'm assuming the computer in this game is a Power Mac or a pre-Pentium x86.

Skip!
